I'D LIKE A FILM BUT DON'T KNOW WHAT SHOULD GO IN IT?

Don't worry we can help. Because we are both video makers and journalists we know how to ask you the right questions that will get your message across.  We have a broadcast news background so we are experienced in gathering information and presenting it in a way that is easily understood and interesting.

WILL I HAVE A CHANCE TO TALK THROUGH MY IDEAS BEFORE FILMING BEGINS?

Of course. We will discuss all aspects of your video before filming starts, talking through your ideas and looking at the key marketing messages that you want to come across in the film, and the best way to achieve this.  We will also give you a questionnaire that will help you think about what could be included in the film, for example interviews with staff or clients and customers, and whether you would like to include music. (We use royalty-free music selected individually for each film.)

WILL YOU WRITE A SCRIPT FOR ME?

If you feel the video needs a voiceover then we will write a script for you, working closely with you throughout the process.  You will be asked to approve the finished script before the film is edited as making script changes after editing can be time consuming. Again because we are journalists we are experienced in writing television scripts.  We use professional broadcasters to voice up the scripts.

DO YOU PROVIDE A STORYBOARD?

We find that a storyboard is unnecessary unless you would like to include professional actors in your film. However if you would like a storyboard we can provide you with one.

I WOULD LIKE TO BE INTERVIEWED FOR MY VIDEO. DO I NEED A PREPARED SCRIPT?

We find interviews come across more naturally if the interviewee is not reading from a script.  We have done hundreds of broadcast interviews before and know how to make people feel at ease and get their message across.  Relax. It's not live TV. If you get it wrong first time you can always do it again.

HOW LONG WILL FILMING TAKE?

That depends on how many locations we have to film in, how many interviews there are and whether we need to set up location lighting. We will work as quickly as possible without compromising quality.

HOW LONG WILL THE VIDEO TAKE TO EDIT?

Editing a video frequently takes longer than filming one.  A nicely produced video will often have beginning and closing titles and make use of your company logos and colours, all of which will require design work that can take a little time. Putting all your company logos, photographs etc onto a disc before filming begins can save us time and you money.

CAN I INCLUDE MY OWN VIDEO FOOTAGE OR PHOTOGRAPHS?

Yes, if your video footage is high enough quality we can include this in your film.  We can also include photographs as long as you have copies of them in high resolution.

HOW DO WE VIEW THE FINISHED FILM?

Once the film has been edited, we will send you a link to a special page on our website, which is not available for public view. You will be able to see your film here. You can then let us know if there are any changes that you would like.  Under our Terms and Conditions we allow one set of changes to be made as part of your quoted price.  If you would like further changes, or would like changes to the script which was earlier approved, this may incur further charges.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WE HAVE GIVEN FINAL APPROVAL TO THE VIDEO?

We will convert the video into a format that is suitable for viewing on the internet (if that is what you want) and also upload it to YouTube if required.  We will give you this version on a disc for your web designer and also provide you with a DVD that you can play on your TV or PC.

CAN I HAVE COPIES OF THE FILM ON DVD?

Yes, we can provide copies of your film on DVD if you want to send these out to potential clients for example. These are charged at £2.50 per copy.

WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT TO THE ORIGINAL FOOTAGE?

We do.  It is quite normal for video production companies to own the copyright to the material they film for clients.  If you would like the copyright transferred to you then this can be arranged together with a suitable fee.

WE WILL ENDEAVOUR TO REFLECT YOUR AMBITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS AS MUCH AS WE POSSIBLY CAN.  BUT EVERY FILM BY ITS VERY NATURE WILL HAVE AN ELEMENT OF SUBJECTIVITY ABOUT IT.  INEVITABLY IT IS OUR INTERPRETATION, GUIDED OF COURSE BY YOU, OF WHAT YOU ASK FOR.
